Here are the fast facts to know about our customer-friendly returns policy:

• In most cases, items can be returned within 30 days of receipt of shipment
• Customers can expect to receive their refund or replacement after their items have been returned
• Customers can either pay for the return shipping or request a return label (in which case a shipping fee will be deducted from their final return)

Restocking fees will also be charged for returns in some cases:

• Plenum boxes always have an automatic 30% restocking fee
• Diffusers only have a 30% restocking fee if you return after the 30-day period

How To Send Items Back To Get A Refund

Generally, you’ll just need to package up your item, get a return label, and then ship it back to us using USPS delivery. If your order is worth $100 or more, insure the shipment for the value of the merchandise and ship your return with signature shipping service. Any items worth over $35 must be returned with a trackable shipping service. For returns less than $35, we recommend the USPS delivery confirmation service.

Pro Tip: Take pictures of the linear air vents or plenum boxes in the package you are sending to show that the items were in good condition before shipment. It’s rare, but products can be damaged in transit, and having these photos can be handy proof to have on hand. Feel free to email them to us at sales@texasbuildmart.com. 

There is a slightly different process to follow depending on the reason for your return; we’ve broken these down below.

Ordering The Wrong Item By Mistake

Hey, mistakes happen! We understand. Simply package up your item and contact our support team to start the returns process. You can either pay for shipping upfront or request a return label from us and then pay for shipping as a fee later. You won’t have to pay a restocking fee unless your purchase was a plenum box or you waited for more than 30 days after receiving your linear slot diffuser. You can then drop your item off at the correct shipper, and they will return it to us. Once it is received, we will provide your refund. 

My Product Arrived In Damaged Packaging

In this case, we recommend that our customers refuse delivery. If you have already accepted the delivery, contact us at sales@texasbuildmart.com with your order number, and we will help you file a claim against the shipping company on your behalf. 

What If I Returned An Incorrect Item?

If you tried to make a return but accidentally sent the wrong item to us, we will dispose of any and all of those items. Please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do all we can to make it right. Ultimately, we cannot guarantee that your item will be found or returned, and unfortunately, we cannot provide compensation if the item is lost. 

Our Easy Refund Process

You can expect refunds to be processed within 2-3 business days of us receiving your item(s). It may take up to an additional 3-5 business days for the refund to be reflected in your bank statement. 

If it was our mistake, we will send you a return label and pay all shipping costs.
